I have sat here for a bit remembering all the wondrous moments that I had with Miss Hailey. How was I going to share them with you? Then I remembered this moment. You see throughout the morning we had spent time chatting about her vacation as she was having her hair done and getting ready. As Hailey learned she was being surprised with the option to wear the Belle Gown from the couture closet her eyes lit up and she smiled exposing that one dimple. She stole my heart then. We then headed to Fort Popham where I knew that she would love the beach. We climbed the spiral staircase in the fort, she was amazing in the large skirt and adorable bare feet. Can you imagine this little one being lost in a huge skirt and climbing a staircase as though she had done a million times before. As we began to explore I could hear her feet pitter patter as she danced in the gown. Then we put her up on the platform where the guns would have once been, where she could look out on the bay and see the seals. She was excited to know that the seals were coming to say hello.
Then it was this moment. Yes this is the moment that drinks me in, that steals my heart and makes my whole world swoon. Why? Because it is the true portrait of this beauty and her carmel eyes as the light hit the fabric of the golden gown and reflected the beams through her eyes. This is where she has given me permission to see her, to really see her. She is stunning inside and out. She a sweet seven year old who loves exploring, playing in the sand, modeling on the runway in Missouri and loves her family. Her excitement as she told me that while she was here in Maine she was going to go on a lobster boat. It was simply the best gift I had gotten that day.
Thank you Hailey for coming to Maine and sharing your heart with me.
