This love story, Matt and Molly I have to just share with the world. But before I do I must share a little quote from one of Molly’s favorite movies “The Little Mermaid”. You see as the girls were being spoiled in the spa room of the beautiful Peaks Island Inn, I heard the giggles and mentions of movie bits yes that is right mini song from the this very movie. In tribute to this mermaid finding her prince I found that this quote is appropriate for Molly’s heart so if you find yourself singing it as you read on send a little love her way. “What would I give if I could live out of the water. What would I pay to spend a day warm on the sand. Bet’cha on land they understand that they don’t reprimand their daughters. Bright young woman, sick of swimmin’, ready to stand! And ready to know what the people know, ask ’em my questions and get some answers! What’s a fire and why does it… what’s the word? Burn! When’s it my turn? Wouldn’t I love, love to explore that shore up above? Out of the sea, wish I could be part of that world!” Ariel ~ The Little Mermaid.
Matthew and Molly met in high school were sweethearts life moved on they parted as high school sweethearts sometimes do. The universe had decided that was not their story. They were reunited to begin their soulful journey yet again. This was seven years ago. Throughout the day I heard from so many family and friends how truly beautiful their story is and how each of them have touched others lives from wrestling in high school, boot camp to the 105 degree heat showers deployments (only the girls know lol).
I want to share my moment with them. I met Molly and Matt through a mutual friend who introduced us. I know the moment they walked into the Wild Oats Bakery that they were meant for me and I for them. The way she glanced at him, her beautiful smile radiated effortlessly as he began to tell me how their love story began. The first time she said I love you to him over the phone. It was more than word though it was the way he reached for her hand as she held her cup of coffee. He could not let her go even for a moment. This that they shared with me it took my breath away.
Flash forward to August 6th their wedding day take two! The day began with the ferry ride, soulful commitments, giggles, tears of joy and hugs for all to witness. I loved every moment of it. But this moment, this was my ultimate favorite. After they said goodbye to all their family and friends it was their moment. A brief walk on the beach taking in the days events. As they embraced each other I could see in their eyes how grateful they are for each other, for this moment and the abundance it has brought them.
Matt and Molly thank you for sharing your love, your hearts and your joy with me. I know this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship! Till I see you in Norfolk much love to you both!
